Pokémon is a world-wide phenomenon. Has been for over 20 years. Fans have asked to have an open world style game to explore the region the game takes place in to give the player a deeper playing experience. To feel like they are truly on an adventure to capture and train every Pokémon. With the highly anticipated announcement of the remakes for the 4th generation of Pokémon games; Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, comes a brand-new title; Pokémon Legends Arceus. This new game boasts new graphics, new mechanics, and a new yet familiar region the Hisui region. This new region is the old name for the familiar region, the Sinnoh region.

With this “new” region, a new staple for main title Pokémon games dubbed regional variants. Have been added with Hisuian variants of Growlithe, Braviary, the recently announced via 2 brand new found-footage style trailers, Zorura and its evolution Zoroark, and 3 new evolutions for 3 Pokémon that previously had no evolutions. Basculegion, the new evolved form of Basculin, Wryder the evolved form of Stantler and Kleavor, a new branch evolution of Scyther. These new evolutions bring a new level of mystery to the world of Pokémon as the Hisui region is an ancient version of Sinnoh and has great ties to the legendary Pokémon known as Arceus. “This is game changing, no pun intended! Pokémon Legends Arceus brings forth a new way of playing Pokémon that has never been done before. The main focus is to fill the first ever Pokédex for the region, battle wild Pokémon in a very unique way, use ancient wooden and steam powered Pokéballs to capture them and explore the world in a vastly new expansive way. This game is shaping up to be a game changer for how Pokémon games will be formatted moving forward. The Pokémon company has been slowly but surely revealing new information about the games, the new Pokémon we will interact with and how the story unfolds with the player as they progress through the Hisui region.
