Calling all New Lights!
In recent years, there have been many games that tend to be labeled as “The Definitive” of its general genre of game such as fighting, racing, strategy and etc. One game stands above the rest as “The Definitive” MMO-RPG for both consoles and PC; that game is Destiny 2. Destiny 2 is published and created by the same studio that brought the world the critically acclaimed Halo franchise and started Destiny after the rights to Halo went to 343 Industries back in March 2012. Destiny is a First Person Shooter (FPS) Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) of its generation that has evolved over time. Destiny gets updated every few months as it is also a live service game with seasonal content every 3 months, larger yearly expansions, and smaller updates to address quality of life changes in the game, fix known issues and etc.

Bungie has truly created and have stuck to their ambitious and nearly accomplished goal of creating a 10 yearlong story as Destiny now starts its 8th year with 2 more years of support for Destiny 2. Destiny 2 is the type of game that any new player can get into with very little effort and can be frustratingly addicting due to the mechanics and gameplay aspects. Being able to join other players to tackle story missions, solve puzzles, fight against other players from around the world or join your friends to take on raids and earn top tier loot is more than enough to get anyone hooked.

Bungie is also known for hosting multiple charity events for ST. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital multiple times a year where all proceeds go to the charity. They also took the pandemic very seriously and had its entire team transition to work from home all while still developing new content for all players to enjoy.
