30 Years of Awesome - Mini Update on Bungie’s 30th Anniversary Event Pack
With Thanksgiving and the holiday season in full swing, Bungie has released their weekly TWAB (released on Thursdays) early. In the TWAB, they teased a bit more of the 30th anniversary pack as well as clarify some information about it. Bungie has confirmed that the 30th anniversary pack can not be accessed via cross play. If you want to access the new content you will have to purchase the anniversary pack on each platform. This is a bit of a hit to players but those that are dedicated will be able to access it with spending some extra cash.

As for the tease, Bungie released a 4K image of a Hunter holding Gjallarhorn in what seems to be an area on the Cosmodrome based on its appearance. This is speculated to be either part of the new dungeon or the new 6-player activity that will be coming with the 30th anniversary pack. When asked about the 30th Anniversary pack, Rich had this to say: “Well its being treated as DLC so it wont be transferable between accounts. It buffs a lot of exotics that barely saw the light of day or were just underwhelming in usage/performance. Some people are upset about the price because you have to buy that on top of the deluxe edition but I understand that Bungie needs to make money somehow, so I’m ok with it. I’m excited for the Gjallarhorn to return although we’ll see if it holds its reputation like it did in D[estiny] 1.” - Rich (PSN name- ArmyKinggRiich-)
To top things off, until the launch of the anniversary pack Bungie has released “Gjallardays” which gives players discounts online at the Bungie store everyday leading up to December 7th. Make sure to give it a look over and get that sweet loot in real life! There are also update to the Bungie Rewards tab and gives players who have completed the triumphs in game, new items to claim in person such as a new Techeun themed hoodie, Beyond Light pin set and etc. That’s all for this mini update, make sure to stay tuned for more information as it comes out right here at Joetaku’s Corner!
